Prince Edward Island beet ethanol R&D gets environmental thumbs up

In Canada, the proposed Atlantec Bioenergy plant, which intends to research producing ethanol from sugarbeets on Prince Edward Island, received the environmental thumbs up last week. The report will be used to secure the ok from the province to move forward with R&D work next year.
