Norwegian Tergopower looks to Poland to build 40MW biomass plant

In Poland, Tergopower, a Norwegian green energy producer, plans to construct a 40MW combined heat and power (CHP) plant fueled by biomass. The proposed plant will be built in Lublin beginning in 2014 and cost approximately $184.6m (€140m). After an estimated 18 months of construction, the plant will use straw and wood biomass sourced from local farmers, and annually displace 230,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
