Brazilian ethanol exports in 2012 end up 55% on year

In Brazil, 2012 ethanol exports soared 55% over 2011 to 3.04 billion liters with 462.1 million liters shipped in December alone. The US, Jamaica, South Korea and Japan were main ethanol import destinations, though ethanol shipped to Jamaica is usually dehydrated and re-shipped duty-free to the US via the Caribbean Basin Initiative.
