Register of Biofuels Origination launched for EU

In the EU, the Register of Biofuels Origination (RBO) was launched on the 16th of January as a permanent system to identify the origins of biofuels used in the EU, under an initiative launched by the European Biodiesel Board. The registry will support the continuation of biofuels-friendly policies as the European Parliament and Council look to set stricter criteria for the use of biofuels by encouraging second-generation biofuels.
