Biofuels Digest Index is flat at 71.93 despite ethanol advance

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, was flat at 71.93 despite an ethanol surge. For the day, Biofuel Energy (BIOF) soared 22.36 percent to $6.73, while Biox (BX.t) rocketed up 11.90 percent to $0.47. Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) dropped 2.42 percent to $8.87. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 4 for the day.
