African Power Initiative launches biodiesel production in Uganda

In Uganda, African Power Initiative is ramping up its first biodiesel facility in the country with several hundred liters per day produced currently, ramping up to phase 1 of 4,000 per liters per day in the mini-distillery it has built. Phase 2 will see production increase to 60,000 liters per day. The facility is using jatropha, castor nut and croton as feedstock on 20,000 hectares of land.
