Heartland oil refiners getting hit by RIN squeeze more than coastal refiners

In the Midwest, Reuters reports that oil refiners in the Midwest are getting hit hard with the need to buy expensive RINs because they don’t have the capacity to blend ethanol themselves and aren’t able to make up for the losses by exporting ethanol-free gasoline like coastal area refiners are able to do.
