May 6, 2013 |

In India, Argus has launched the Argus India ethanol assessment to meet growing demand for price references and transparency in the market. The new assessment is in response to India’s mandate for increased ethanol blending in gasoline. The daily assessment is specifically for anhydrous ethanol, delivered to India. Indian demand for ethanol is expected to rise to as much as 2.2 billion litres next year (38,000 b/d) to fulfil the country’s mandatory E5 blending. India plans to move to E20 blending by 2018.
