Class action lawsuit filed against Amyris over Biofene production claims

May 21, 2013 |

In New York, the law firm of Wohl & Fruchter reports they have filed a securities class action against Amyris, and its President and CEO, John G. Melo. The action, filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, is on behalf of purchasers of Amyris securities between April 29, 2011 and February 8, 2012.

The class action seeks relief for  violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, based on what Wohl & Fruchter allege as false and misleading statements, and omissions of material information concerning, among other things, Amyris’ ability to produce Biofene in commercially meaningful volumes.
