Bankrupt Dong Xanh to Restart Ethanol Production in Vietnam

In Vietnam, an unnamed US firm and Honda are in negotiations to purchase a 75 per cent stake in the troubled Dong Xanh ethanol company. The purchase will allow the company’s ethanol facility in central Quang Nam Province to restart production in September, following nine months of closed operations. Dong Xanh’s facility has an annual capacity of 100,000 tons, with an initial investment of $30 million.
