There are bound to be skeptics of ideas like a SuperRIN — but whether or not there is a SuperRIN or not, consider that there might be other ways to build in hedges for obligated parties today that help stimulate the building of future capacity.
But why not ensure that good hedges become good catalysts?
Producers of advanced biofuels could provide the hedge, and help capitalize themselves.
All it takes is for EPA and its community of producers and obligated parties to think outside the box — and translate ideas into rules.
