First 150 registrants free at online Biofuels Technician Certification Program

In Iowa, the Department of Energy is funding the first 150 registrants in the Biofuels Technician Certification Program — offered online by Indian Hills Community College in Eddyville. The course is divided into biodiesel, ethanol and general tracks and brings 3 Continuing Education Units (CEU) and a Certificate of Completion from Indian Hills Community College.
As an online course, participants can proceed at their own pace and course work includes a review of process, feedstocks, preparation, transesterification, fermentation, separation and recovery as well as general concepts in process control, lab QC and safety.
