EPA tells Congress blend wall won’t be hit until 2014

In Washington, the EPA told Congress that the E10 blend wall won’t be hit until 2014, giving more time to solve challenges in the supply and consumption of E15 while working towards higher blending requirements under the RFS in 2014. If consumption of ethanol doesn’t rise, then demand for other alternative fuels such as biodiesel will have to increase in order to achieve blending targets.
