BSBIOS-exported Brazilian biodiesel headed for the Netherlands

In Brazil, the first batch of exported biodiesel is making its way to the EU, shipped out by BSBIOS to the Netherlands. BSBIOS was the first company in brazil to receive authorization to export biofuels in 2008, and has since been working at making official partnerships in order to export their fuel. The shipment, 22 tons of biodiesel, is a great step towards the market opening according to CEO Erasmo Carlos Batistella.“There are many difficulties, with relation to taxes mainly, and cost Brazil that make negotiations difficult with the European market. But this is an important advance we need to fulfill to demonstrate that Brazil can also export biodiesel,” he said.
