Vietnam ethanol industry in trouble ahead of 2014 blend

In Vietnam, high production costs, poor export prices and fluctuating cassava prices have meant that PetroVientam’s ethanol plants in Binh Phuoc, Quang Ngai and Phu Tho have only been producing intermittently. Their 300 million liters of combined production are meant to supply the domestic E5 blend but that won’t come online until 2014.
