Auditor general investigating GHG of Alberta Energy’s grant recipients

In Canada, Alberta’s auditor general is investigating the $200 million the province has spent on biofuels to ensure that the projects awarded funds aren’t increasing GHG emissions compared to fossil fuels. The investigation is a result of the fact that Alberta Energy has not required project applications to demonstrate GHG emissions reductions when seeking funds.
