Biofuels Digest Index edges up to 73.24 despite ethanol equities drop

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged up  0.21 percent to 73.24 despite an ethanol equities drop. For the day, Biox (BX.T) surged 10.94 percent to $0.71, while Codexis (CDXS) advanced 2.91 percent to $2.45.  Among other equities, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) dumped 8.91 percent to $16.56 after announcing Q2 earnings. Overall, advances led declines 8 to 7 for the day.
