On the Move in Biofuels: Cool Planet, Algenol

Two former key Codexis executives have moved to top jobs elsewhere in the industry.

Wes Bolsen has now joined the Cool Planet Energy Systems team.  He will join them on August 1 in their newly opened headquarters in Greenwood Village, CO, just outside of Denver.  He will focus on building Cool Planet’s Global strategic partnerships.  The team here at the Digest expects him to stay involved with Washington, continuing to be a spokesman for the industry and necessary policy support to drive biofuel commercialization.

Jacques Beaudry-Losique has joined Algenol as the Senior Vice President of Corporate and Business Development, and will lead the Business Development Team as well as Government and Regulatory Affairs. He served for two years as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Renewable Energy and was instrumental in decisions to invest more than $1.5 billion of Recovery Act funds in renewable energy projects, including $800 million in biofuels projects.
