BNDES to boost ethanol loans by 46%

In Brazil, the state development bank BNDES plans to boost sugarcane mill financing by 46% this year in order to increase ethanol production. The bank expects to lend about $2.6 billion in 2013 with interest rates down to 5.5% as of July 29, from 6.3% previously.
