As many as 80% of US ethanol plants could produce corn oil by year’s end

August 14, 2013 |

In Kansas, some are saying that as many as 80% of ethanol plants could be recovering corn oil by the end of the year, thanks to easy bolt-on technology, a steady market for corn oil and the opportunity for corn oil to help keep ethanol plants in business even with higher corn prices. WB Services is one of the companies offering those technologies and is already operating a 2 million gallon per year biodiesel plant from corn oil and is building a 3 million gallon facility as well, both of them in Sedgwick.
