Army testing new FastOx Pathfinder waste-to-energy technology

In California, the Army will be testing a technology developed by Sierra Energy known as FastOx Pathfinder that produces hydrogen and syngas from waste. The gasifier can supposedly use any feedstock from old iPods to used syringes. The technology came from an idea developed by one of the company’s founder’s grandfathers while working as chief industrial engineer at Kaiser Steel in Fontana.
