Veros Energy investigated for possible illegal discharges into nearby tributary

In Alabama, biodiesel producer Veros Energy is being investigated by the state department of environmental management regarding potential discharges of oils and fats into a nearby river tributary. The company claims that it is operating within the bounds of its discharge permit. The state has already collected water samples for analysis. Alabama Biodiesel was fined in court for illegal discharge in 2008 in the same area of the river.
