E85 getting more bang for your buck than gas in Ohio

October 8, 2013 |

In Ohio, E85 prices are falling faster than gasoline prices across the state but especially in the greater Cleveland area where the fuel is retailing for about $2.50 a gallon. The state average is $2.59 per gallon, compared to $3.24 for statewide regular unleaded and $3.26 in the greater Cleveland area. Oil Price Information Service says that once E85 is 20% cheaper than regular, it is a better bargain. E85 prices could fall to $2.29 per gallon in coming months as ethanol prices continue to slip.
