Algenol to set up shop in Florida after all

In Florida, Algenol credits the state’s agriculture commissioner for convincing to build its first $500 million plant in the state, rather than looking at Texas. The company had decided to look outside Florida in April after legislation that was anything but favorable to ethanol production was introduced. Site selection should be done by the end of the year and discussions with large-scale CO2 emitters are ongoing in an attempt to secure sufficient feedstock for ethanol production.
