Ethiopia’s Tendaho mill to start ethanol production in January

In Ethiopia, the long-awaited Tendaho sugar mill is set to start crushing in January, with an expected ethanol production of 63 million liters of ethanol, 120MW of electricity and 619,000 metric tons of sugar when at full capacity. A total of 50,000 hectares of sugarcane will eventually be planted. Currently 11,000 hectares are under cane.
