Florida rep. wants state house to send strong anti-RFS message to Congress

In Florida, Rep. Matt Gaetz has filed HM 243 urging the US Congress to repeal the RFS. The legislation is set for hearing during the 2014 regular session but hasn’t yet been assigned to a committee. Such types of legislation have no actual bearing on Congress or federal law but if passed is meant to send a message to federal legislators that the state feels particularly strongly about an issue—in this case, repealing the RFS.
