Japan set to race biodiesel-fueled Land Cruiser at Dakar race next month

In Japan, Toyota plans to race a biodiesel-powered Land Cruiser SUV in the next Dakar race, set for Jan. 4-18, that runs through Argentina, Bolivia and Chile. The vehicle is expected to produce 60% fewer GHG emissions than the standard Land Cruiser. The Paris to Dakar race has been held in South America since 2009.
