In Minnesota, Cortec’s BioPad was awarded the USDA BioPrerred designation. An article in the Environmental Leader reports that the product provides as much as twice the corrosion inhibiting action, while containing 66% biobased content.
The article also states that the BioPad has Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors, but due to a high concentration of such VpCI’s, the BioPad can result in as much as a 94% reduction in materials when compared to polyurethane foam based devices.
