Pakistan signs MOU with India-based Universal Biomass for a 15MWe generation plant

In Pakistan, the Punjab Agriculture Secretary Dr. Ejz Muneer, Punjab Energy Department Chief Engineer Iftikhar Ahmad Randhawa, and Director Pareet Singh Badal of India-based Universal Biomass Energy signed an MOU for technical assistance in the construction of a 15MWe biomass electrical generation facility.

According to the article in The Nation, the plant would be transferred to Pakistani hands following two years of successful operation after construction.
