Allana Group to build meat packing plant in Ethiopia and will use waste to generate biogas

In Ethiopia, the India-based meat processing company, Allana Group is investing US$20 million to build a meat processing plant on a 75 acre site provided by the Ethiopian Government. As part of the agreement, waste will be streamed to produce biogas for electricity generation, and the blood generated by the plant will be used to produce animal feed.

Details concerning how much biogas and/or electricity were not given.
