Biofuels Digest Index reaches eight month high of 74.13

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, jumped 1.84 percent to 74.13 – an eight-month high, as advanced biofuels gained. For the day, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) soared 6.91 percent to $22.11, while Codexis (CDXS) slumped 10.22 percent to $1.67. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) rallied 8.69 percent to $5.13. Overall, advances led declines 8 to 7 for the day.
