Israeli company secures $100 million loan for Ethiopian sugar project

In Ethiopia, Israeli construction company Natifa has secured a $100 million loan to build the Wolkayit Sugar factory the government hopes to develop in Tigrai Regional State, 1,350km from Addis Ababa. The facility would produce 20,827 cubic meters of ethanol annually in addition to 484,000 tons of sugar from 45,000 hectares of sugarcane.
