Utah one step closer to using its own biodiesel locally

In Utah, a proposal recognizing the benefits of biodiesel successfully passed the state’s House of Representatives Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment Committee on Tuesday, a move that is meant to support the introduction of biodiesel blending in the state. Currently the two commercial biodiesel producers, Washakie Renewable Energy in Plymouth and Washington County’s Pleasant Valley, end up sending most of their production out of state.
