In New Zealand, Z Energy is to be congratulated for its decision announced to go ahead with a new biodiesel plant in Auckland, says Elizabeth Yeaman, Manager Government Relations and Strategy at the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA).
“Z Energy is intending to make a very significant investment of $21 million in this plant, in order to be able to make a renewable fuel available to its customers, which will have the effect of reducing New Zealand’s net carbon dioxide emissions.”
