Biofuels Digest Index plummets to 75.67 as broad equity markets swoon

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, plummeted 3.04 percent to 75.67 as broad equities markets swooned on corporate earnings surprises. For the day, KiOR (KIOR) plunged 16.00 percent to $0.62, while Gevo (GEVO) tumbled 6.31 percent to $1.04. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) downshifted 7.98 percent to $3.23. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
