Ethanol production down to six-week low

In the US, ethanol production averaged 894,000 barrels per day last week, around 37.55 million gallons daily. This is down 4000 barrels per day from the week before, and represents a six-week low. Stocks of ethanol stood at 17.1 million barrels. That is a 0.4% decrease from last week. Stocks were just above the 20-day supply mark for the first time in 10 weeks. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 366.2 million gallons daily. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.25%.
