Biofuels Digest Index rolls up to 77.64 as ethanol rallies

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, rolled up a 1.29 percent gain to 77.64 as ethanol equities rallied anew.  For the day, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) jumped 4.85 percent to $31.54, while Sacom (SAM.MI) was up 6.27 percent to $4.24. Among other equities, BioAmber (BIOA) gained 5.05 percent to $9.99. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
