Dakota Spirit Ag Energy granted grain buyer’s license for new facility

In North Dakota, the Public Service Commission has granted Dakota Spirit Ag Energy a roving grain buyer’s license so it can begin buying corn for the facility that is expected to come online next year. The developers expect to begin contracting for 5 million bushels of corn but one of the commissioners felt the $430,000 surety bond posted by the company seemed questionably low for the amount of corn it wanted to buy.
