Dennis McGinn to deliver keynote address at BIO San Diego

In California, Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations & Environment Dennis McGinn will deliver the keynote address at BIO’s International Convention’s Biofuels and Renewable Chemical Forum in San Diego this week. After the address, titled “National Security: Why We Need Industrial Biotechnology,” Mr. McGinn will hold a media availability to discuss the Navy’s partnership with USDA on the Farm-to-Fleet Program and how biotech companies are poised to participate in it.

In 2002, Mr. McGinn retired from the Navy with the rank of Vice Admiral. His 35 years of Navy service included command of the San Diego-based US Third Fleet as well as command of the USS Ranger.
