Madagascar gets first-ever ethanol facility

In Madagascar, the country’s first ethanol distiller came online on July 21 producing 2,000 liters per day from sugarcane. The ethanol produced by the Madagascar Energy Company will be used exclusively for cooking fuel in the domestic market. The project is considered to be a pilot that will lead to replication throughout the island over the next few years
