August 15, 2014 |

In Virginia, Hopewell City Council has approved a $250,000 matching grant for Vireol Bio Energy which paves the way for a 2.5 cents to 4 cents per gallon production credit from the state. The credit is capped at $1.5 million per year through June 2017.  Since the facility was recommissioned, it has produced 7 million gallons of ethanol and expects to be up to 5 million gallons per month by the end of the year.
