US ethanol stocks hit five-week high as production soars

In Washington, the Energy Information Agency says that ethanol stocks reached 18.81 million barrels during the week ending Sept. 12, up 4.3% and the highest in 18 months. Ethanol production reached 931,000 barrels during the week, the third week in a row where production increased. Cheap corn thanks to a bumper harvest as most production facilities running at full capacity.
