Hot 30, Hot 40, Hot 50 leaders — as last week of voting begins

October 6, 2014 |

Hot50-logo-2014-15In Florida, subscriber voting entered the final week in the 50 Hottest Companies in Bioenergy, the 30 Hottest Companies in Biobased Chemicals & Materials, and the 40 Hottest Small Companies in the Bioeconomy.

The Digest released the names of the top vote getting companies in the Hot 50, the Hot 40 and Hot 30 subscriber and photo vote balloting, so far, in alphabetical order.

What to do if you see your favorite companies’ names on the list:

Don’t get complacent. Looking back at the history of voting over the years, it can be close — a single vote has separated #1 and #2 one year. A dozen votes can mean the difference in up to five ranking positions, in some years, where the votes have become bunched up.

Hot40-logo-2014-15What to do if you don’t see your favorite companies’ names on the list:

Don’t give up.  Balloting will continue all this week, including Photo Voting, and it is expected that up to 25% of votes may come in at the end.

What you can do between now and the close of voting at 5pm Friday, October 20, 2014  to positively impact rankings?

1. If you haven’t already, vote.
2. Remind your friends and colleagues to vote.
3. Submit Photo Votes. Each Photo Vote counts for 5 votes, and the Photo Votes of the Week are eligible for big voting bonuses.
4. Don’t forget to write in any companies you like that are not listed on the ballot.

What happens now?

1. Invited International Selector voting will also conclude, and subscriber and photo votes will be tallied and weighted along with Selector Ballots.
2. The official announcement of the 2014-15 rankings will be made on November 10th at 6pm ET, at ABLCNext in San Francisco.
