DuPont convinced cellulosic ethanol R&D will pay off

In Switzerland, DuPont’s activist investor Nelson Peltz says the cellulosic ethanol plant in Nevada, Iowa is an example of extravagant, expensive science projects that has destroyed shareholder value, but the company has bounced back saying that following all of the R&D invested in the facility, it is certain the plant will make money. Ensuring that ROI will depend heavily on future cuts to the RFS which has kept potential licensees of the technology on the sidelines.
