Biofuels Digest Index reaches 64.89 as equities rally before close

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged up 0.70 percent to 64.89 as equities rallied before close. For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) soared 22.75 percent to $6.96, while KiOR (KIOR) dropped 11.55 percent to $0.06. Among other equities, Biox (BX.T) plunged 17.14 percent to $0.58. Overall, declines led advances 6 to 5 for the day.
