Boeing and CACC open aviation biofuel demo plant

In China, Boeing and Commercial Aircraft Corp of China inaugurated their gutter oil-based aviation biofuel demo plant with a production of 160 gallons per day. The technology was developed by Hangzhou Energy & Engineering Technology and is part of the China-US Aviation Biofuel Pilot Project. Estimates are 1.8 billion liters of aviation fuel could be produced annually from gutter oil in China.
