EMBRAPA says bioenergy could increase six-fold without rainforest damage

In Brazil, EMBRAPA says that the country can boost its bioenergy production enough to achieve its goals by converting just 20% to 30% of the 50 million hectares the agency says is available, without having to encroach on rainforest areas. That would increase crop area under production for bioenergy by six-fold.
