GTI and KOGAS team up for R&D

November 24, 2014 |

In Denmark, Gas Technology Institute (GTI) and Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) have signed a Collaboration Agreement for energy research and development, education and training, and information sharing. The initiative could include mutual assistance for technology development, technical consulting, joint research efforts, and development of training programs–among other efforts—in topics ranging from unconventional gas supply, to energy infrastructure, and efficient energy utilization.

The agreement was signed during the recent IGRC 2014 meetings in Copenhagen, Denmark.

GTI is a leading U.S. research, development and training organization serving energy and environmental markets, focused on increasing energy supply, improving energy delivery and using energy more efficiently and in a cleaner manner. KOGAS is the single largest LNG importer in the world, as well as the owner and operator of four world-scale LNG regasification terminals, and an over 4,200 km span of nationwide transmission pipeline networks.
