Sarawak Oil Palms begins commissioning of Malaysian biodiesel plant

December 1, 2014 |

In Malaysia, Sarawak Oil Palms began commissioning its biodiesel plant in Sarawak, running at about 50% of its installed capacity of 300 metric tons per day. The facility is expect to supply the region for the mandated B7 blend. It is one of the last regions to implement biodiesel blending due to the lack of local biodiesel production and the high costs of transporting to the region from other parts of the country.
