South Bend ethanol plant negotiating corn oil extraction lease with city

In Indiana, the 100 million gallon ethanol plant in South Bend has come back online following Noble Americas buying the facility in mid-2013 and spending the last year upgrading the facility to come back online. The company has negotiated with the city that the city buy a $2 million corn extraction add-on to the plant and then lend it to the company for no less than $100,000 annually for five years.
